When did William Petersen start to think of leaving CSI?
Q. William Petersen said in an interview as follows: "I, about the time I thought I might get out of the show, I became so uh, invested in, first of all, the people I work with and the audience and how great they ve been." Does he mean that he started to think of leaving the show when he became a producer? However he was a producer from the first. What does this "become invested in"??? I'm non English native speaker, so please help me. Thanks.

A. I AM a native English speaker, and even I am not quite certain what Mr Peterson was attempting to say. The quote above is not very articulate! In this situation "Invested in" means to be morally, psychologically, or emotionally committed to a certain action or object. To "Invest" most often refers to committing money to something (investing in stocks and bonds) for profit, but can also refer (as it does in this case) to any commitment of something of value to a particular action or activity. You can invest money in stocks, but you can also do things like invest time in hobbies, or invest emotions in friends. What do I need to do to get into the College of William and Mary?
Q. I am a sophomore with a 4.3 and have not taken the SAT yet... I'm a Latin club officer and am in marching band and on the swim team and am planning on applying to national honor society. I attend the Commonwealth Governor's school. It is my dream to attend William and Mary, what do they look for?

A. Hokay...so... The College looks for intelligent and interesting people. They're not necessarily looking for the smartest or the best athlete, but the person who will do the most with what W&M has to offer. Believe me, if you're interested in William & Mary, they're probably interested in you. The College is definitely difficult to get into. I know when I applied, I was really worried about my credentials. I had a 3.7 unweighted at a midwestern high school and a 32 on the ACT. I was in French NHS, marching band and vice-prez of NHS. I was worried that my academic stuff would be unimpressive because I had a bad calculus grade and my high school didn't offer AP's. I applied regular decision and got in, no waitlist! If William Ayers is such a dangerous man and a detestable association for Barrack Obama, why is he not in jail?
Q. I am young and know very little about William Ayers and his organization, the Weather Underground. Can someone explain to me what this man stood for and what his organization was all about. Why is Obama hanging out with this man if he commit ed atrocious acts. Also, if he did commit atrocious acts, why is he living comfortably today and why does he have a job as a professor at University of Illinois at Chicago. Why does the university have a terrorist teaching its students?
