How do I cite a quote or paraphrase my author derived from another source?
Q. Whats the correct format? Is it (authand page number from your current source, as used in author and page number from his source)? Do i have to include more information, such as the title of the book he used, or do I have to put it in my bibliography? Thanks :)

A. It really depends on the requirements of the school/college/ university. Most will give you a preferred means of referencing and citing. If you are not clear on this or haven't been supplied, you can look up commonly used bibliography styles or citation styles. Quite often what you will need is a (Author Name, Publication Date, Page Number) reference within the text that you are writing, following the particular quote/citation. This is backed up by your bibliography which includes further information, such as Book/Paper/Journal Name, Edition, Publisher Name & Location etc. etc. To be safe, you should check to see what the acceptable format is where ever you are submitting this paper to.
