The term African people refers to people who live in Africa, or people who trace their ancestry to indigenous inhabitants of Africa. This includes members of the "African diaspora" resulting from the Atlantic Slave Trade such as Black British, Afro-Latin Americans, African Americans, Afro-Caribbeans, and Black Canadians. The term Black people is often used as a synonym for people of African ancestry (in particular Sub-Saharan Africa), particularly in the Americas and Europe, although the two terms are not always considered synonymous.

The continent's inhabitants live amidst deserts and jungles, as well as in modern cities across the continent.

Why did some African Americans support the Civil Rights Movement more than others?
Q. When answering this question please take into account that African Americans responded in different ways according to different factors such as age, life experience, family responsibilities, fear, religion, education, economic position, individual traits and whether they lived in the city or the suburbs. How did these factors influence African-American support, avoidance or rejection of the Civil Rights Movement?

A. There were two phases of civil rights. The first was more a struggle for integration while the second was a Black Power movement. The first being non-violent was able to draw in more traditional and broader support. As civil rights moved away from non-violence as a means, it became harder to get a broad base. From Shmoop

How come Africans in general look better than African Americans?
Q. I don't intend to offend any African Americans because im African. I lived in Africa(Uganda) for many years and i saw most of the best looking women. Most African Americans love wearing fake hair,(Like red hair, hair straightaning) and they still look ugly compared to many natural looking Africans. Some of them even have fake boobs yet Africans have real boobs. Is it because African Americans are not pure blood?

A. Sigh, it's amazing how everyone resorts to political correctness when they cannot answer a question. Though you worded this in a very harsh way, there is some truth to what you are saying. I believe Africans look better than African Americans because they do not try to fit into the White standard of beauty with hair straighteners, contacts and such. Real Africans embrace their unique beauty, which makes them beautiful;P
