Q. I have a friend who just became a naturalized American citizen. He is from South Africa. He is of Dutch and English ancestry. He is white. He speaks with an English accent and if you met him you would think he is English or Australian. Shall we call him an African - American or what?

A. No because gentically he's not African...he's European descent. So he would be considered European-American.
