A. if you truly want to know, here goes... but you might be better off reading some other explanation than this one :). by the way, this is the official ending! not a predicted one! the baudelaires wash up on a very random island, and meet a guy named Ishmael who is never mentioned before, and they are there with Count Olaf, ut Kit Snicket washes up a little later. They think the island is far from the treachery of the world, only to find out that Ishmael is very treacherous indeed after finding out he eats the island's bitter apples instead of the food every other islander eats. the snake known as the Incredible Deadly Viper unexpectedly makes its return, and leads the Baudelaires under the bitter apple tree, where a library and kitchen… [cont.]

The Bad Beginning The Reptile Room The Wide Window The Miserable Mill The Austere Academy The Ersatz Elevator The Vile Village The Hostile Hospital The Carnivorous Carnival The Slippery Slope The Grim Grotto The Penultimate Peril The End I can't really choose a favorite because they're all a continuous chain as far a a series goes. Lemony Snicket is a a great author as well. he manages to be hilarious and sarcastic at the same time as being dark and intense. I just love the whole series.

A. Here's a summary, I think this is it... haha I read it awhile back. Count Olaf and the Baudilaires burn down the the hotel and somehow escape on the boat on the top of the hotel leaving everyone in that place to burn pretty much. Such a nice ending :D

A. The "Series of Unfortunate Events" seems a little condescending (a word which here means dumbed-down in a superior-sounding way). Then again, J.K. Rowling spends the first few chapters of each of her books dragging out all the details of previous books... Oh well, I like them both anyway.

A. Okay, you have the date for Deathly Hallows (book 7), but here's the info on Series of Unfortunate Events - Book the 13th. The End (A Series of Unfortunate Events, Book 13) by Lemony Snicket and Brett Helquist (Hardcover - Oct 13, 2006) Since there are a lot of copies out there now, the cost should be lower (if you buy used). Better yet, get it at your library! My Harry Potter book is going to be delivered the day it comes out (I won't be standing in line at midnight, but I will be reading it as soon as I get the box opened!)

A. Okay...let me tell you as much as I can remember. This is going to take you only 5 min...it's very short and sweet compared to the time it'll take you to read the book. Oops, sorry for wasting your time. The Baudelaires go with Kit Snicket to Hotel Denouement, where the Baudelaire disguise as concierges. A VFD meeting with all the noble and treachry people is about to take place and a lot of volunteers are coming to the hotel, including Sir, Principal Nero, Charles, Hal, Mr. Poe, and Olaf and Esme. The sugar bowl is suppose to be brought to the hotel by crows and land inside the laundry room. The Baudelaires meet a noble person called Dewey, who has a library under a pond in front of the hotel.
